They had one son, Henson. Annie was married to a Bivens before John. She had several children with him. I do not have any information on them. Annie died in 1895. John married Sarah Jane. I found on the 1900 census that someone by the name of Lim Abimiluck, listed as son lived with John, Sarah and Henson. This may have been Sarah Jane's son from a previous relationship. Henson, my grandfather, married Lillian Johnson. They had two children, Leroy and Alva. They divorced. Henson married my grandmother, Sarah Johnson. They had 10 children. One died under a year old. Sarah's father was Edward Johnson and her mother was Elizabeth Miller from St. Mary's County, Maryland. Sarah's mother died when she was two years old. Her father remarried. She had a sister Rosie. Henson and Sarah's children are Norman, Roger (deceased August 1999), Theodore, Alfred, Henry (my father-deceased June 1999), Indiana, Sarah, Lucinda, Hilda and Mary (deceased 1925). Luther got mad the family at age of 16 got his horse rode way. There was another brother who did the same, but he return to their home Tennessee. The parents are still unknown as Luther brothers and sister. Its thought that part of Tennessee was Eastern. The Children were fighting of their parents estate. That is why Luther left. She was the daughter of James Madison Watts, b c1848, d 07/03/1932 in St. Louis, MO and Analind Elizabeth Britt, b 08/04/1846 in Elsberry, Lincoln, MO and d 11/26/1906, in Elsberry, Lincoln, MO. James was the son of Mordica Richard Watts, b 10/15/1823 in Hartsville, Smith, TN, d 07/05/1885 in New Hope, Lincoln, MO and Mary Amanda Hammack, b 11/19/1829 in New Hope, Lincoln, MO, d 10/30/1911. Mordica was the son of William Watts, b 04/26/1783 in Jamestown, Albermarle, VA, d 03/02/1851 in Elsberry, Lincoln, MO and Nancy Wommack, b 07/10/1784 in Halifax, VA, d 11/04/1851 in New Hope, Lincoln, MO. I have other information family, as well as the Hammack family and a limited amount of information on the Wommack family. Ezekiel BYRD - b. circa 1805, died between 1870-80, m. Elitha WATTS - b. circa 1815- 1818 died 1904. Ezekiel and Elitha lived in the Bradford Springs/Spring Hill area of Sumter Co., SC from at least 1840 thru 1870. They were on censuses of Clarenton Co., SC before 1840. That area of Clarenton Co. is now Sumter Co. Elitha went to live with her daughter, Martha, between 1870-80 when she became widowed. Elitha is buried at the Salem Methodist Church in Lee County, SC. On the 1920 census he is living in Fayette county WVA boarding with Henry Jackson he was a coal miner and so was my grandfather above the state in which he was born, Kentucky is written the letters USC is anyone familiar with this? several other people on the page have the same USC designation above thier states of birth but not all. on the 1910 census Earl is married to a Milkey Watts and her daughters Mattie Hammond and Etoka Ruffin are living with then and one of Earl's nieces Josephine Huel who was born in Virginia but who dad was born in Tennesse. I only know of one brother of my grandfather and his name was Doc.on this 1910 census he listed bieng born in Ohio and is designated as Mullatto he was African American.Earl married Hazel white in Wva they had 4 children a boy James who died in infancy and 3 daughter's Florence,Mary magdeline and Mildred my mom.i know that he taught music the old people called them "coasters".I don't know what county in Kentucky or if it was Ohio that he was born in all my aunts birth certificates along with my mom's say Kentucky i don't know his parents or anything.He died Oct 31st 1930 and was buried at the poor farm on Nov 1st by the undertakers Tyree and Sevy. If anyone knows some information or hs run across any of these names please let me know I am determined to find him. Since there were so many John Watts, confusion regarding John Watts (Sarah Barnett's husband) and Captain John Watts of the American Revolution was made --- they are two separate people. My John Watts was not a Captain, the Captain was his cousin. John Watts (my ancestor) has been accepted by DAR, but with his true service. If you want specifics, please contact me.
