Seasons Greetings The one advantage of not being paid for putting together this newsletter is I can make changes as I please. I received several messages over the past two weeks wondering where the next issue was. I’m glad to hear you missed it! I took a couple weeks off because I went out of town. I am now going to make another change. Because my days off have changed at work the newsletter may sometimes come late on Friday and not early morning as it has in the past. If you don’t receive it by Saturday feel free to message me in case you were missed. I have had several people ask me if there are other newsletters out there. I do know of a few but maybe some of you know of newsletters. If you do please let me know and I will print a list of what we do know. ******************************************** Contents: 1. So far, I have only gone back to my Great Grand Father & Grand Mother. His name was David Watts, and Her name was sentea. I don't know what her maden name was. I am going to the S.C. archives to see if I can find both of their death certificates. I haven't had time to work on it for a while. I hope to get started again soon. I would like to some day trace my ancesters back to the old country . I am not even sure where they came from. 2. Jim - Jwegger@aol.com John E. Egger 1793-1851 was my 3rd Great Grandfather, he married Savilla Watts 1793-1878 she was the daughter of John Watts 1767-1825 and Lovice 1771-1834. John and Savilla were married in Chester Co South Carolina and moved to Lowndes County Mississippi in the early 1820's. I have quite a bit of info on the Eggers and other branches of the family but very little on the Watts and I would like to fill in some large holes in my reasearch. I am willing to share any information that I have with anyone that asks. 3. Steve Wilson - WILLSST3@aol.com I have really enjoyed you newsletter and I would like to continue receiving copies. My connection with the WATTS family is not a direct line. Mildred (JOHNSON) SEBREE, the wife of John Sebree and the mother of Fanny SEBREE who married John WATTS is a relative. She is the daughter of William and Elizabeth (CAVE) JOHNSON. If anyone following that line is interested I have more information about her family. My wife is WATTS line includes Elizabeth WATTS who married John SNELL and moved from Virginia to Scott Co., Kentucky. 4. WYL244@tislink.com (Wyland) I am searching for any information on my ggggrandfather and his family. I have the following information: Robert Watts b.

WATTS...................b.abt 1841...Lawrence Co. MS Where in Louisiana was Robert WATTS born? I am a direct descendent of Ephram. Ephram may have been married twice, and he was the father of at least two children, a daughter, Josephine (my ggrandmother), and a son, Jack. There may have been another daughter, Katie. What is the name of Ephram's wife/wives and when did he marry? What was the names of his other children? I am looking for any and all information concerning Ephram, but I am also interested in his siblings and their families. If any of this looks familiar, I would like to correspond with you. Sacramento, CA ******************************************** QUERIES 1. Hi, I am still interested in receiving the Watts newsletter. I don't have much to add to what I originally posted. Our Watts family has a bi-annual newsletter put together by my uncle (via snail mail) and deals mostly with current family members. I sure would love to add a breakthrough in our next issue! :) I will re-post again what I have and hope someone recognizes something: Henry Law Watts (lived in New England--birth,death
dates unknown) was a Celeste Nancy __________, maiden name, b/m/d dates and places unknown. Their son: (There are probably other siblings, but we
don't know) the 'golden horseshoes' he was awarded at the Chicago Worlds Fair. He also was an accomplished musician and played the violin very well. The only other tidbit of info we have is that Grandpa Watts used to brag about his cousins, "the Bemis brothers," "strongest men east of Albany, NY." He married:
Kate Darling Pringle (b. 11-26-1860 in Wyandotte, KS d. 12-2-1939
in St. Peter, MN). They apparently met in St. Peter, MN where they had
both relocated, and were married and lived
there. (No wedding date.)
Ernest A. Watts, b. 4-10-1884 Ruth Marion Watts and her second husband, William George Huston were my paternal grandparents. Her brothers each had only one child, and both were female, so although we are Watts descendents, the name itself has not been 'carried on' in our family. If anyone recognizes anything, especially about Henry Law or George Washington Watts and their spouses, would appreciate
knowing about it. ******************************************** RICHARD WATTS OF AMELIA CO. VA AND WILKES CO.
