I actually have more information on my Sarah Rebecca Watts. Her father was Hampton Watts and her mother was Sarah Brown. Hampton Watts father was Julius Watts. That is where I stop. I don't know Julius' s father. Julius died in South Carolina in 1850. His wife was Agnes Benson. Did Samuel have anymore sons besides Anthony? I would be interested to know that? (The following is what he submitted later) The information I have on my Watts line is as follows: Julius Watts was born c1769 and died 1850 in Sumter, SC. He married Agnes Benson. She was born c1776. Their son William Hampton Watts was born c1807 and married Sarah E. Brown c1827. She was born in 1811. Thier daughter Sarah Rebecca Watts married Joseph Tarpley Cummings. Sarah Rebecca was born Jan. 19, 1829 and Joseph was born in 1825. Their daughter Elizabeth Eugenia Cummings was born in 1858 and married my great grandfather Thomas Louis Green.Their daughter, my grandmother, Daisy Caroline Green married my grandfather Robert Duncan Jones. (yes, I am actually researching the Jones line too) I would really like to find where Julius Watts came from.. I did see a Julius Watts in the Newsletter you sent. The Descendants of Thomas Watts and Ester (Wilkins? or Stone?) John Watts and Sarah Barnett had a son Julius Watts. Maybe I will check that out. Julius might have come from the Alabama area since I have a record showing Hampton Watts being born in Alabama. Any help on this would be appreciated. 2. May 1864 in Clark County Kentucky. Son of Frederick William Wills and Frances Durrett. He married March 13, 1803 in Clark County Kentucky to Nancy Bruce b. April 6, 1784; d. January 23, 1869. Nancy Bruce is the daughter of Benjamin Bruce and Mildred Watts, and the grand-daughter of Rev. Jacob Watts and Elizabeth Durrett. Elizabeth Durrett is the sister of Frances, wife of Frederick Wills. Becky ******************************************** VIRGINIA WATTS I'm surveying the Moore family very early in Elizabeth County and following the apparent treck from there to Albemarle County in an effort to reach some determination of where John Moore (who bought 400 ac. from Samuel Dalton) came from. If I run across any others, I send them along. Your Watts family seems to be following the same migration. They were fairly near neighbors of John Moore who lived on Poquoson River in Eliz. City Co. The next place I find a group of Moores is in New Kent on the opposite side of the River from the Watts shown here; then a little later on the Chickahominy in Henrico. I'm only up to about 1720 at this point. Looks like the Watts/Moore 'alliance' lasted from early Jamestown days. John Moore of Poquoson arrived at Jamestown in 1619 and his wife Elizabeth a few years later. Joyce (Joyce currently edits a Moore Family newsletter. I am looking for parents of WESLEY WATTS, born 27 September 1807; died 24 March 1886. Wesley and his wife Frances HIATT are buried in Shelby County, KY. They had twelve children: Mary Elizabeth, James Monroe, William Austin, M. Newton, Joseph Benton, Sarah Louisa, Jacob Meredith, Judith Frances, Enoch W., John Dudley, Nancy Jane, Smith Thomas. Wesley and Frances WATTS and many of their children and grandchildren lived in Shelby Co. KY and are buried in the county. Wesley Watts was the son of Jacob Watts b. 17 Mar 1799 and d. 17 Dec 1862 in Shelby Co. KY.he was thought to have come from Maryland. He married Polly Hinton on 18 Jul 1804. She was b. 1781 and d. 1815. They are both buried in Pigeon Fork, Shelby Co., KY. Their children were: 1. Wesley G. Watts m. Meridith Hiatt 10 May 1886 in Anderson Co., KY Wesley left a will in Shelby Co., KY which was made 23 Oct 1871 and proved May 1886 (Will book 40 Pa. 333). In Will book 46, Pa. 209 there is a report of the sale of effects of Frances Watts which was reported by James Watts, administrator. Children were:

Augustine Watts died in Clinton Co., MO., and is buried at Plattsburg. “The Census of 1830 showed an Augustine Watts in Putnam County, Ind. He was between 30 and 40. At his home were one female 20 to 30; one male 20 to 30 and one male under five. This probably was this man. In the 1850 Census an Augustine Watts, 48, born in Kentucky, was in Putnam County, Ind., with his wife Barbara Watts, 48, also born in Kentucky. At the same residence were Elijah and Columbus Jenkins 14 and 13 respectively. They doubtless were children of his sister, Frances (Fanny) Watts, who married Israel Jenkins and who resided in the same county at the time.” “Numerous land transactions by this man are of record in Putnam co., Ind.
