It has been stated by some that Chief Attakullakulla is the son of Moytoy. This Cherokee connection would put Daniel Dodson Watts as a decendant of John Watts the trader. Chief John Watts went to Alabama after the wars, about 1800. He died in Willstown, DeKalb Co., between 1803 and 1809. I am interested in all informaton on Moytoy, Attakullkulla, John Watts and decendants. I hope to have a comprehensive paper on this family that I can share in the near future. Paula McGee, PMgee7267@aol.com. 2. From: JKenn604@aol.com I am interested in the James Watts family of Greenbriar Country WV., My grandmother was Eliza Virginia Watts, daughter of Wesley Clark Watts. Any information would be apprecited. Marilyn JKenn604@aol.com 3. From: MARLR43@aol.com Looking for anyone who had Watts family in PA. I have found LDS reference numbers for Garrett Reference: 2SNF-FS and Sarah Reference: BXCM-HL. I have not checked these out. Finally, the family notes I have say that Garrett & Sarah had 12 children and that the last 6 died as infants. I am interested in information on Sarah Dalton and her ancestors as well as the descendents of any of their children. Final notes Garrett Watts moved to NC, don't know where, before Johnson Watts was born. It also appears most or all of them moved to Lincoln Co., MO before 1840. Madison Watts was never married. In southern states when octaroon laws were in place, mixed race children were sometimes given this racial designation. I know that some counties in Tennessee still marked births this way in 1950, as my sister-in-law found out when she obtained her birth certificate.
