The Watts On-line
Issue No. 39
March 6, 1998

As you can see, this newsletter is not quite as lengthy as most.  Everyone
must be very busy these days as I have had very little submissions lately.
Now might be a good time to go through your research and send us biographies,
marriage records, wills or probate records, family lines or land deeds.
No more back issues will be sent out as I think we are fairly caught up.  If
anyone is interested in back issues I am going to offer Issues 1 through 35 on
a disc for $5.00 shipping and handling.  It is in Microsoft Word format.
Anyone interested can send checks to:  Lori Watts Linnell, 808 E. Harvard
Avenue, Gilbert, Arizona  85234.

I am from the Watts family of Hickman and Graves County in Western Ky.
Several years ago at the Nashville flea market, I bought an old whiskey
bottle. The brand name is "Old Watts " brand bourbon whiskey.  The label is
faded and key parts of it are missing or torn off.  Parts of the original seal
are still on the top , but don't offer any information as far as I can tell. I
am not an expert in these things.  On the front of the label it says
"Jas. R. Ro??s & Co. inc."   and below that
"India????????, U.S.A".... I am sure that is supposed to be Indianopolis.
There is a picture of a gentleman  with his hair in a "roll" on the front. The
bottle itself is old, has a stopper type closure , and the words "full quart"
inbossed in the glass. On the bottom of the bottle are the markings B  18.
There was a label on the back of the bottle, but it is mostly gone.
Any info would be appreciated .
Thanks
